William Henry Harrison Memorabilia

William Henry Harrison, the ninth US President, had the shortest tenure in office and was the first President to die in office. He died of complications from a cold on his 32nd day in office.

Harrison campaigned as a Northern Whig candidate for president; it was the only time in American history when a major political party deliberately ran more than one presidential candidate.

Harrison was nicknamed Tippecanoe, or Old Tippecanoe, for his role leading U.S. forces against Indians at the Battle of Tippecanoe in 1811.  His running mate was John Tyler, and Harrison's campaign was responsible for the phrase "Tippecanoe and Tyler too."
